At first when I got the essay rubric I was confused on what I would be writing since there were many topics/themes to choose from or develop. In class we discussed several ideas that we can write about. I finally chose a topic that made sense to me and I began to write my outline. As I began writing, I got more ideas and my outline changed several times. I found it useful to re-read the outline to make new changes or add more things in. I wrote my draft and thought that I wouldn't need to add anything else to it, but then when I had my draft peer edited by students and the teachers I realized that I need to add more information. I have written two drafts and I can honestly say that I made a lot of changes from the first time I wrote the draft. I am very pleased with my final draft because if it wasn't for my classmates or the teachers suggestions on my essay, I am sure it wouldn't be well written. I found that the writing process is important in developing a well written paper.
