When it comes to writing, I don’t follow the writing process as I was taught in my years of education. Usually, when I start to write an essay, I never do a pre-write. I find it hard to think of something and writing it down. Ideas don’t really come to my mind if I draw circles on a paper and try to fill them out. Doing that just fills up my paper and makes it a big mess, and most of the time I would change my whole essay when typing it. I, on the other hand start writing by automatically beginning to type out. When I type out I automatically start getting more and more ideas. Typing saves me from wasting my time trying to think of something and tying everything together. Yes, revising and editing are important, and I do, do that, but most of the time there is no need to really revise or edit my paper because I have written all my ideas and the computer automatically checks for errors, and grammar correction. I do not really do a rough-draft, I usually consider the rough-draft the publish piece most of the time because I never re-write it.
Moreover, I am open to only make changes in my writing by hearing other people’s opinions and try understanding their viewpoint. If their opinion makes my writing piece better, I am willing to make that change. Other than that, I don’t really like to change my writing from how I written it the first time. I personally don’t like writing anything that isn’t in my interest and I know that is true for many people. So, I try my best to write it well the first time so I wouldn’t have to go back and make a lot of changes. Everyone has their own way of writing and mine happens to be without a writing process. For me it makes writing a lot easier.
